It’s a new year and what better time than now to look back at all the happenings in the year gone by. 2008 will be remembered as the year when agile went mainstream. No longer are companies asking if agile is the right process for software development, instead the big question of the year was how to get started with agile.
However, this is a two edged sword as many companies are jumping onto the agile bangwagon without really understanding what agile is all about, and thereby setting themselves up for failure. At the same time, many agile experts have been innovating with variations to the core agile process to see if it can be improved. We saw the emergence of varieties like Lean-Agile and Kanban.

We’ve listened to all your feedback and completely revamped Silver Catalyst from the bottom up. We’ve got a brand new interface and a ton of new features like drag and drop prioritisation of the backlog, the ability to split features into tasks and a new taskboard view.
